Renowned astronaut, Prof. Claude Nicollier, will be visiting India from 10. - 13.08.09., across three cities: Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata (also Kharagpur) and will be conducting interactive presentations for school students of classes XI and XII. Prof. Nicollier will be accompanied by Ms. Muriel Noca, project manager, SwissCube, who will hold joint presentations, with Prof. Nicollier, in Delhi and Bangalore.

A media trip will be organized for select journalists from the print media belonging to the beat 'science', where important features of Switzerland, pertaining to science, will be highlighted. This will be followed by an electronic media trip.

Intermezzo 2009 was a unique fashion show, which was conducted by the students of Pearl Academy of Fashion, incorporating all the four elements of India, Switzerland, science and education. Webgyor, which was also based on all the four key elements, comprised of web-based prototyes. Both projects were held on 24.10.09. at the Embassy of Switzerland.

A solar flower clock, designed with the help of the Haute Ecole d'Ingénierie et de Gestion du Canton de Vaud, will be erected at the Embassy of Switzerland in New Delhi.

Workshops on green buildings, health, nutrition and Indo-Swiss bi-laterlal relations was held in ten Kendriya Vidyalayas across Delhi in the month of April, covering app. 600 students and teachers.

Interactive workshops, on Switzerland, were held at Kuoni Academy, Delhi, on the 08th, 09th, 17th, 21st, 28th and 30th of June, 2010. The workshops included film screening, quizzes, worksheets and others.

12-08-2010 27-08-2010 Paint a Watch Delhi

The project 'Paint a watch' was held on the 12th of August for the students of Amity International School Saket, in cooperation with the Embassy of Switzerland New Delhi and Swatch. The students had to paint the design of a watch, along with a title and brief description. The top 5 winners will be invited to the head office of Swatch and their retail outlet, to obtain a first hand experience of how a corporate functions.

17-08-2010 17-08-2010 Videocon with Prof. Nicollier Delhi

A vide conference, on the subject of 'Mass inhabitation on Mars' was held with Prof. Claude Nicollier, renowned Swiss astronaut, and students of Anity International Schools. This was a follow-up videocon to the one in July (22.07.10.).

19-08-2010 24-08-2010 Science Suisse exhibition Delhi

Select exhibits from the Science Suisse exhibition (exhibits on renowned Swiss scientists) will be 'inaugurated' by the S & T Counsellor, Dr. Mattia Celio, on 19th of August, 2010, at DPS, R.K. Puram. This will also see a videocon with Prof. Thomas Stocker, where students will interact with Prof. Stocker, on various subjects pertaining to climate change.
